Today’s agriculture requires machinery capable of working in very different conditions, with high levels of crop residue, variable terrain, the need for precision in metering, and maximum efficiency during long working days. That is why we are introducing two new additions to the Virkar range: the new Lite D&C seed drill and the new Vaken front hopper.
LITE D&C: PRECISION, ADAPTABILITY AND D&C TECHNOLOGY IN A LIGHTER SEED DRILL
The new Virkar Lite D&C seed drill has been developed as a lightweight direct drilling seed drill, equipped with the D&C system, one of the most versatile configurations within Virkar technology. It combines the work of the disc and the coulters to achieve efficient furrow opening, accurate seed placement and excellent adaptation to different soil conditions.
One of the key features of the Lite D&C is its parallelogram system with hydraulic pressure, which allows the seeding unit to adapt better to the terrain and maintain a more consistent working depth.
In addition, this seed drill allows independent pressure adjustment of the discs and coulters, providing greater control over the work of each element. It also features a weight transfer system from the tractor to the seeding unit to ensure constant pressure on the ground, and it offers the possibility of working only with the coulters by lifting the disc line.
VAKEN: THE NEW FRONT HOPPER FROM VIRKAR
Together with the Lite D&C, Virkar also presents Vaken, the new 2,300-liter pressurized front hopper, with the possibility of working with up to 2 products, allowing farmers to manage different combinations depending on the type of crop.
ISOBUS control enables precise management from the tractor cab, making metering easier to handle and improving work control throughout the day.
In addition, Vaken incorporates integrated working and road lights, an important feature to improve visibility, safety and operation both in the field and during transport.
