The latest edition of the Fira de Sant Josep (Mollerussa), held from March 19 to 22, 2026, has one again confirmed its role as one of the major meeting points for the country’s agricultural sector. This year has been especially significant for Virkar, which participated with two of its seed drills: the Compact D and thr new Tactic D.

The star of Virkar’s stand has undoubtedly been the Tactic D. This new seed drill represents a step forward in efficiency, performance, and the ability to work under demanding direct seeding conditions.

Virkar at Agritechnica 2025: a week of innovation, meetings, and new connections

Last week we were at Agritechnica, the largest international meeting point for agricultural technology, and we’re still riding high on the energy. It was an intense few days, full of visitors coming to discover our direct seeding solutions, and many new contacts opening up exciting opportunities.

The star of our stand: Dynamic D&C

In this edition, we featured the Virkar Dynamic D&C at our stand, a direct seeding drill designed to perform in variable and demanding conditions.

This machine combines discs and coulters, mounted separately, allowing each system to be adjusted independently and delivering exceptional seeding quality.

Some of its most notable features include:

Virkar at Innov-agri 2025: innovation and closeness with the farmer

On September 2, 3 and 4, Virkar took part in Innov-agri, one of the most important agricultural fairs in Europe, held in Outarville (France). Despite the rain and mud being the main features of the event, the outcome could not have been more positive: we were able to carry out several field demonstrations and establish numerous contacts that strengthen our presence in the French market.

The Dynamic D in the spotlight

Our distributor in France, Christophe Beets from Odal Agri, presented the Dynamic D, a machine that is generating increasing interest among farmers. Christophe explained in detail the technical specifications that make the Dynamic D an ideal option for fields with heavy stubble.

The combination of practical demonstrations and technical explanations of the machine encouraged many visitors to come and see it first-hand, experiencing its quality and seeding efficiency up close.

A fair that creates value

Innov-agri once again proved why it is a key event for the agricultural sector: a space where manufacturers, distributors, and farmers can exchange experiences, discover the latest innovations, and build lasting connections.

The arable sector is constantly innovating, with new products and scientific techniques being developed to improve crop health, farm efficiencies and profitability. And visitors to the Cereals Event were able to see a whole host of innovations, demonstrations, and technical experts in one place.

This year also took place adjacent to the main Cereals site, the new Direct Driller@Cereals demonstration arena happened alongside with an interactive seminar space, wildflower and cover crop plots, and exhibition stands profiling all the latest innovation in the no-till world, with the overall theme of ‘Regenerating Farm Profit’.

The programme was based around four key topics – machinery, the SFI, cover cropping and nutrition – and the hope is that the conversations were an inspiration to visitors to think about what they’re already doing, what is happening under their feet in the soil, and whether or not they could change this in the future.

Last week, Virkar Group made its mark at Agritechnica 2023, an annual event that serves as the epicenter for the latest innovations in agricultural machinery. Among the standout new releases, New Holland’s new CR combine harvester took home the Gold Medal, marking a significant milestone in the agricultural world. Let’s take a closer look at how this technological advancement is transforming the harvesting landscape.

Award-Winning Innovation: New Holland and the CR Axial-Flow Twin-Rotor Combine Harvester

The spotlight at Agritechnica 2023 was on New Holland’s innovative CR combine harvester, which stood out for its exceptional contribution to the agricultural sector. This new model, awarded the prestigious Gold Medal, representd a quantum leap in the performance and efficiency of twin-rotor axial combine harvesters.

At the heart of this revolution is the drive technology, with the engine mounted longitudinally according to the rotor tilt angle. This groundbreaking approach propels the combine harvester into a new dimension of performance. Power distribution to the rotors and the header is managed through a central gearbox, either via a straight-through input chain or a drive shaft.

The left rotor plays a crucial role as a drive element for the feed drum. Additionally, the innovative design eliminates side-mounted drives on the chassis, allowing for a significant increase in chassis width. This extra space is used to expand the threshing channel, thereby enhancing the combine harvester’s performance.

Innovation in Automatic Unblocking and Patented Cleaning System

A notable feature of the CR combine harvester is its software-controlled automatic unblocking system, designed to efficiently eliminate blockages. This system performs reverse movements to clear jams and adjusts the belt tensioner for efficient power transmission to the feed drum.

The patented cleaning system, now 13% wider, together with the optimized grain elevator filling, ensures more efficient operation. The material distribution control technology on the top sieve, based on pressure sensors, measures the pressure and improves the distribution of the harvested crop, cleverly addressing the typical lateral distribution issue of axial-rotor combine harvesters.

Energy Efficiency and Optimized Design

The combine harvester’s energy efficiency is enhanced by a chamber system that manages the cutting and straw distribution. Remarkably, despite the larger internal components, the machine’s overall weight remains virtually unchanged thanks to an optimized component design.

Virkar Group will participate in the FIMA Fair, the INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY FAIR, the largest agricultural event in Southern Europe and one of the most significant in the European and international circuit, which will be held at the Zaragoza Fairgrounds from February 16 to 20.

FIMA is the major international event for the agricultural sector, held biennially, and in the last edition it attracted 220,000 attendees from over 64 countries.
